James Clark (aka Dory Video) is a BS-AC diver and underwater videographer who enjoys filming the wrecks and wildlife around the temperate waters of the British Isles and abroad.
I am an experienced and accomplished Diver (CMAS 3-star, BS-AC Advanced Diver, Asst. Advanced Instructor, nitrox and trimix qualified) with HSE medical. If you would like to discuss a project please get in touch using the "Contact” menu, above
Using high definition (HD) Broadcast-ready video recorders for all my video work you can depend on the highest level of production and professionalism. All cameras are all housed in rugged waterproof housings for underwater/wet work with the highest quality optics for distortion-free images.
The UK’s wildlife is simply fantastic and I love to capture it’s majesty in full colour HD video. I am always looking for opportunities to record wildlife in the UK.
There are 1000’s of wrecks and reefs in the UK; this is the ‘staple diet’ of most British divers. I have already recorded many dive sites around the British Isles, many of which feature on my YouTube channel
Whether it is in a swimming pool or in the open water, I am very happy to record training materials for you and your dive club or training agency . I have already produced training videos for BS-AC, RoSPA and King’s College London.
I hold a wide range of high-definition stock footage showing much of the UK's wildlife and wrecks in detail. Contact me if you are looking for footage for your video production.
I use the Sony Ex1R solid state 1/2" three
CCD broadcast camera which produces excellent images suitable for TV and film production
I use only Gates underwater housings. The Ex1R housing also supports a nanoflash, external screen,
microphone and Fathom Imaging wide angle port
for crystal clear quality high definition video
With a combination of top-side and waterproof high-definition video equipment I am able to provide footage of dive sites, in-water training or educational work.
I have had the honor to have worked with some fantastic partners, from dive clubs, wildlife trust and broadcast agencies. you may have already seen my footage.
Location recording and Editing
I can work with you on the production of a whole DVD or just a single scene shoot or interview. I can advise on location selection, sound recording, and underwater continuity and provide an excellent voice-over and soundtrack facility through my colleagues in the audio industry. I can edit and produce broadcast-ready footage from any of the recordings, and will produce a time-line from a single dive, an expedition or a montage of shots taken on different dives at different locations.
Creation of Stock Footage
Over the years I have amassed a great deal of stock footage of the wildlife and wrecks around the UK. If there is a wreck you would like to record or a dive site that you need to have a recording of for off-line editing or inclusion in a production, it is possible I have already been there and can provide you with some footage. If I don’t have it on file, it is only a dive away.
All media recorded are available for inclusion on WWW sites, for publication, broadcast or just for art for your personal collection. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in any of my work. If you are looking for a photograph or video footage of a specific marine species or a UK wreck please contact me.
I have a YouTube channel on which you can view many video shorts produced while diving around the UK. Click on the YouTube logo above to be taken to my ever-growing collection of underwater videos. Below you can see two selected videos from the collection.
